Practical list. The washing machine door tip is something I learned the hard way after noticing a mildew smell that wouldn't go away nomatter how many cleaning cycles I ran. The water hammer point is spot on too, I had a pipe burst behind drywall once because I ignored that ker-chunk sound for months thinking it was just normal plumbing noise. Would add that the powered anode for water heaters is one of those low-effort high-return maintenace things most people skip.
